The Award Ceremony
Most Innovative Award:
The Most Innovative Award went to the team "gleichjetzt" with the concept KUltur GArten KUGA. According to the jury report, "Innovation in the 21st century, perhaps in light of the climate crisis and species extinction, may not mean 'more technology,' but rather more space for the wild and enchanted, for the mysterious, and for cross-species encounters between humans, animals, and plants. The KUGA is a place to continue growing, not just in the center, but to the edges and perhaps even beyond."
Most Out Of The Box Preis:
The Most Out Of The Box Award went to the team "Elastic Spaces" with the project Mycelium – Decentralized Connections. According to the jury, "The project creates a strong visual identity for the Bern Museum Quarter through recognizable signage full of nodes. It symbolizes that the individual institutions relinquish control to something else, something fungal, which can evolve, even beyond the borders of the Bern Museum Quarter. Using sustainable building materials, islands for encounters and in-depth content exploration are created."
Most Social Award:
The Most Social Award went to the team "Sprudis" for the project Studio Frizzante. A radio project and other meeting stations are intended to serve as connection points, creating an atmosphere for analog, shared time and collaboration between diverse people and institutions. According to the expert jury, "It is a sensory idea that aims to enliven the in-between space. It appeals to many target groups."
Team Award:
The Team Award also went to the project Mycelium. This award was given by the teams to each other.
Audience Award:
The Audience Award went to the team MQbistDu for their project of the same name. Their prototype was a proposal for a dating app for cultural and participatory formats, where users are encouraged to submit their own ideas, which will be implemented in the Bern Museum Quarter if they receive enough right swipes.
